ADW Adoption Roadmap
How Wasteology moves from one engineer running the Agentic Developer Workflow to the whole company building on it, and eventually to a software factory where any team, and even non-developers, can turn an idea into a reviewed, shipped change.
The plan is sequenced by readiness rather than dates. Each stage is earned by proving the one before it, which is our maturity-ladder principle: don't skip rungs. Two things never change across any phase. ADW is local-first, running on an unmetered developer subscription before any metered cloud spend, and it is human-gated, so every change lands as a draft PR that a person reviews and merges.
Two views
- The Adoption Roadmap is the detailed phased plan: goals, entry and exit gates, cross-cutting concerns, risks, and the decisions leadership owns.
- Visual Timeline is the same plan as an at-a-glance Gantt: phases and continuous workstreams across indicative time bands, with the readiness gates marked.
This roadmap is a draft for leadership to adjust. The phases follow a three-part adoption story: learn and pilot, then orchestrate and fan out, then atlas and software factory. All of it sits on top of the foundation that is already in place, including this Academy, the standards, the knowledge atlas, and the reference orchestration repo.
